Move-In Week at the UAMS Residence Hall Move-In Week at the UAMS Residence Hall

Move-In Week at the Residence Hall is always a sight to see. This semester was particularly special since the Residence Hall was at 100% occupancy. During this time of year, the parking round-about and hallways are always bustling with laughter and move-in clatter. Students, family and friends all gathered to assist wherever a hand was needed. Carts zipped in and out elevators and Amazon deliveries around the clock were all clear indicators our students’ journeys had just begun.

The Student Center hosts the annual Student Resource Fair and Constitution Day observance.

The Student Resource Fair/Constitution Day was held Sept. 19 in the Student Center and hosted by Campus Life and Student Support Services (CLSSS). This event connects students with available campus resources from various departments. This year the departments represented included: Educational and Student Support Center, Student Financial Services, Division of Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Student Wellness, Stocked and Ready, Student Health Clinic, UAMS Fitness Center, Alumni and Annual Giving, Title IX Office, and Student Wellness. UAMS Constitution Day also was celebrated to honor the document that guarantees Americans their essential rights. A voter registration table was available to all students at the event and a few students were successfully registered. It is estimated that more than 200 students attended the event where they received helpful information, free food and drinks.
