Maddox Named Interim Associate Provost for Northwest Campus
Tina Maddox, Ph.D., RD, LD, has been appointed interim associate provost for our UAMS Northwest Regional Campus, effective Oct. 1.
She is currently the associate dean for the UAMS College of Health Professions (CHP) and the associate director of Interprofessional Education on our Northwest campus. She will continue to serve in those roles.
A registered and licensed dietitian, Maddox joined the UAMS faculty in 2010. She served as program director for the CHP’s dietetic internship program from 2010 to 2018, when she took on the role as the college’s associate dean of academic affairs in 2018. In 2019, she was appointed associate dean for the college on the Northwest Campus.
She earned a Doctor of Philosophy in nutrition from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas, and a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in dietetics from the University of Central Arkansas.
As interim associate provost, Maddox will provide strategic and operational leadership to all the UAMS academic programs in Northwest Arkansas, ensuring that support and resources are in place to carry out the mission of educating current and future health professionals and the public in the region.
