The Campus Life Department at UAMS is fortunate to have a unique hybrid, residence hall housing community. The Residence Hall not only offers housing for students, it also offer housing for UAMS affiliates. There are specific rooms set aside to house temporary guests, such as visiting fellows, employees, students on rotation from other universities and UAMS patient families.

This month, we had the pleasure of providing temporary housing for identical twin brothers, Dennis, and David Weaver. Both brothers were enthusiastic, energetic and their smiles and positive outlook was so contagious. They both graduated from the same university and both chose to become instructors in higher education. Dennis’ wife Shelia even tutored them in an undergrad math class. Guests such as the Weaver twins bring richness and diversity to the residence hall and the UAMS campus.

They brought sunshine with them each time they came to our office. We are very thankful for guests such as the Weaver Twins who had such positive things to say about their stay here at the UAMS Residence Hall.

Associated Student Government Student Bowling

ASG hosted Bowling Night on Nov. 3 at Professor Bowl in Little Rock. Students enjoyed pizza and bowled unlimited games for a two-hour period. For many it was a refreshing change of pace. The students had lots of fun and enjoyed getting to spend Friday night with their family, classmates and friends at the bowling alley.
