CHL Seeks Help Reminding Faculty, Students about UAMS’ Robust Patient Education Materials Collections
Quality patient education can enhance the patient experience, help patients engage in self-care, and contribute to improved patient outcomes and reduced costs. Educational materials are tools to support the work of clinical staff and can provide important information for patients after they return home. UAMS has a rich variety of patient education content, and as one department who serves as a patient education resource, CHL wants to be sure you, your colleagues, and your students know about these.
The table below is a brief introduction to campus patient education resources. We encourage you to share it broadly. If you have trouble accessing resources via Clinical Desktop, a request to IT can help, as anyone on campus should have access. If you browse these resources and don’t find what you need, e-mail us at healthliteracy@uams.edu and we can help you find or develop resources for your patients.
