Women’s Research Day at UAMS on Oct. 12 offered researchers an opportunity to present their latest work, participate in discussions on a range of topics to expand their skills and network with colleagues.

The event — organized and hosted by the Center for Faculty Excellence, the Office of Continuing Education and the Women’s Faculty Development Research Caucus — was held in the Walton Auditorium of the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.

The event featured the keynote presentation “Building and Inspiring Teams to Achieve Greatness” by Shelley Webb, J.D., senior vice president and general counsel for PagerDuty. Breakout sessions covered topics including Time Management for Researchers, Wellness, and Resiliency in Grant Writing. There also was a panel discussion on “Growing Into a Leadership Role.”

The poster session for the event included 40 research posters by UAMS researchers and collaborators.
